1986 Ford Mustang

Fuel injection became the only induction system on the 1986 5.0 HO, and output was 200 horsepower with both the five-speed manual and four-speed automatic in Mustang GTs. Real dual exhaust debuted this year, meaning there were now two catalytic converters so each engine bank had its own exhaust right to the tail pipes.

The SVO Mustang's turbo four was recalibrated and its output was also 200 horsepower.
